Cambridge Memorial Hospital – August Update

Time for another update from our massive undertaking at Cambridge Memorial Hospital as a part of their $250-million renovation which is nearing the completion date for this phase of the project.  The new patient tower is transforming from a construction zone into a warm, modern and welcoming Hospital environment as the weeks fly by.

All of the DIRTT product for the 5 floors that we are outfitting has been ordered and new shipments are arriving on site weekly.  Installation is progressing from the top down.  The 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors are in various stages of final installation/cleanup and progress on the ground level is moving along quickly.  Everyone is anxious to finish their portion of the work and let the Hospital take over the additional space they have been waiting so very long for.

The CMH team has taken advantage of the pliable nature of the DIRTT system to ensure it meets the physical needs of the patients and staff with plumbing in the walls, Corian backsplashes and magnetic writable surfaces.  There are over 1,600 lineal feet of DIRTT Walls in this phase of the project that incorporate lots of glass for a refreshing, enlightened environment with a unique look that goes beyond what can be achieved with conventional construction and creates a less clinical space.  The DIRTT Millwork with it’s Thermofoil finish allows for seamless edges and corners that meet and exceed the Infection Control guidelines that are so crucial for Patient health in today’s Hospital environments.

The next time we check in on CMH we will be at the end of Phase 2, looking forward to showing off the finished project!
