Humber College

When Humber College was looking to renovate their School of Business, they were looking for a visually stunning solution that would create a modern, innovative space for the students of today and the future.  Verto360 was able to take the concept images that Humber provided and build a virtual file of the space using ICE. We then used Virtual Reality to tour them through the space which allowed them to see what we would be building for them before design development commenced and long before construction began. 

On a project of this complexity with 5 Phases, it was essential to ensure that we maintained our communication with the design team and other trades to ensure the DIRTT scope was clear. The DIRTT Shop and Installation Drawings had to contain all of the details to ensure the installation went smoothly and the final result met the client’s expectations.

The most unique aspect of this project was incorporating angled extrusions into the DIRTT walls along with the combination of glass, fabric, and wood veneer finishes. Humber College also wanted a streamlined solution for technology in their Boardrooms and Meeting Rooms, so they chose to include  imbedded TV’s and power to achieve a seamless and timeless design outcome. The texture and flow of the space is unlike anything we have ever tackled before and was only possible because of the power of ICE and the creative minds of the design team.

This is our first major DIRTT project for Humber College.  We can’t wait to see what else we can create in revitalizing the College to become a beacon for the future of post-secondary education.
